The article was not usefull as describe. It was suppose to locate me anywhere in costa Rica without base signal. It didnt work at all and didnt help me as a GPS. I Lost 9,99 + taxe.

Truly the worst gps app I ever used.
Many bugs and very slow.
Crushing all the time on iPhone 6
I am in Costa Rica, attempting for some reason to use this app, although I am well aware that it is junk. It wont even get a GPS fix. I looked at the End User Agreement: it is HUGE, full of warnings telling you that as soon as you downloaded it you are not entitled to any refund. Their legalese is longer than their application code!!! Save yourself the money and aggravation: RUN!
But this app thinking I would use it rather than my GPS but every time I try to do a search of crashes
Its time traveling back to Atari times. Software is constantly shutting down, calculates routs for ages, and zooming is way too much for it! I really tried to use it, but it was pointless :(
not working on Ipad 3 and iphone 4, at least on mine. Crashes in a few seconds after destination is entered
Not usable at all! Graphic is poor, but that would be the smallest problem. App hangs all the time. Zooming is hardly possible. I would delete it even if it would be free!
Im actually in Costa Rica and Im trying to use this navigator. Very slow in catching the satellites. No possibility to turn the map horizontal. Very slow to update the position while moving. No voice to inform the driver of the road. Waste of money
Thanks for the app. Takes a little bit to load initially, but after that is solid in my phone. Really nice feature to have map in phone rather than requiring an internet connection (which would cost a bunch being from the USA). Directions seem accurate so far and Im looking forward to using it more. Looking forward to further updates to the app. Great start with this one.
This is a ripoff. It doesnt work, it has out of date information, and it crashes constantly. I want my money back!
This app does not work and super slow to launch it. Got rip off by $20
This DID NOT WORK AT ALL. At first I thought it just wouldnt load, but then I realized it did not function once it loaded either! I have never felt so ripped off by an app. IT WAS UTTERLY USELESS DO NOT BUY!!!!! I WANT A FULL REFUND.
The worst $20.00 Ive ever spent. Does not function as advertized. GPS function does not work as expected. Save your money. I want my money back
What can I say..It helped me a lot with my Costa Rica visit. I had tried the earlier version which I honestly say didnt really work so good for me. I emailed the support team for Kaart Data and I got immediate response which said they were updating the app to be faster..I must say, THIS IS VERY FAST LOADING version. I am simply surprised by the speed difference. Kudos for you guys for the update..if you are going to Costa Rica or living in it, this is for you..
Im writing this review from my hotel balcony in mal pais costa rica. I made it here with no help from this extremely overpriced app. Seriously, this thing stinks. MAYBE if it cost half as much it might be worth buying this thing...if you like things that cost alot and dont do anything. My gripes? Well, lemme tell you... It crashes non-stop. Good times when youre deep in the costa rica back country and are relying on it to guide you thru like a real gps should. It went down EVERY 5 minutes and required you to input all your info again upon startup. Eventually we just gave up and paid a local on horseback to guide us to the main road. For the record, it did this in the otel room before we even hit any kind of wilderness so dont let em fool you into believing this thing will work for you! Or how about the fact that there is NO INSTRUCTIONS OR SUPPORT INCLUDED! Really, who sells a $20 app without some kind of instructions page or at least a link to the website where you can find out how to work the product? All in all, good idea, horrible product. In the end, im out $20, still in CR and looking at a map just like i was before i bought this garbage.
The gist of reviews of prior versions of the app have been "Doesnt Work." Version 3 is also fundamentally broken. (Im using an iPhone 3gs.) In navigation mode, the map updates too slowly to be useful - often after the turn has been made. In birds eye view mode, panning and zooming is almost impossible - the map often reverts to the prior view when I try to do either. If you have an iPhone 4, it may work a little better, but I wouldnt count on it. There are two reasons you may still be tempted to use the app. First, at $20, its better priced than any other GPS navigation app for Costa Rica. Second, its purpose-specific for the country, which is notorious for lack of addresses and road names. Neither is a good reason to buy this app against the advice of this and other reviews. If youre headed to Costa Rica for the first time, you do want some sort of navigational help, but its not as bad as many make it out to be. Heres what I recommend as an alternative: 1) Get a good paper map. If the route isnt obvious, ask someone at a hotel or restaurant to highlight it for you. 2) Get an offline maps app and cache the maps for the regions youll need. These apps wont create a route for you, but they will tell you exactly where you are and the quality of roads that youll encounter. Ive found both Gaia Lite and Galileo very serviceable - and both are free. To the developers: You have something that could be great. You have the map data and a good niche, a reasonably priced GPS navigation solution for several more travelled Latin American countries. Get the next one right and release it as a new app without all of the baggage of these reviews and youll hopefully have a hit.
For the city driving the gps was somewhat helpful as San Jose does not have street signs Limited to no coverage outside of the city Would not recommend to someone who had to drive and work this for a few reasons: it crashes every 30 minutes or so and you have to reupdate, the GPS is constantly telling you to turn and can not tell turns in the road from actual turns -therefore it requires constant viewing to watch the route. To the credit of this app, it did get me from the rental agency to the freeway through the city as well as back to a different hotel. It also has surprising accuracy of geographic landmarks such as restaurants and gas stations. Recommendations: Reduce the price as it is too high for the limitations & market as a San Jose specific app not for the country Reprogram to give the turn recommendation only when you actually leave the road you are on Include instructions within the app of how to navigate. PS: I have iphone 4 and current software If you know your route outside the city this is still more economical than other apps and the rental agency GPS.
The search identified the places I needed, but the routing would not load. This is a useless app. Giving any stars is generous. I am in Costa Rica now and it does not work. I resorted to using the gps app that came on my iphone 4s.
